I attended Marle Holte’s Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners this
year for the first time. I’m a senior and alone, so for me, it was
great.
I was appalled at the caliber of people who attended.
Disrespectful and unappreciative. Unsupervised children using
eating utensils as sling-shots, flinging food from one end of the
hall to the other. Noisy! These people are neither homeless,
hungry, destitute or seniors.

I thought I would be able to sit down and enjoy a peaceful meal and maybe meet others I could engage in conversation with. Wrong!

Mr. Holte takes great pride in coordinating this event each year, as he should.

It’s ashamed this caliber of people has to ruin what would otherwise be a nice, quiet, peaceful meal for the people who it was intended to serve – the homeless, poor, destitute and seniors.

The words free and needy have two different meanings. Unfortunately, needy is not something most of these people are, but free is a word they all understand and take full advantage of.

Thank you Mr. Holte for your effort. I certainly appreciated having the opportunity to attend.”
