In response to Sam Farr’s hope to bring $10 million from the
government treasury to restore California missions, the suggestion
should be made that the ACLU should look into this to see if this
should be stopped due to the separation of church and state
according to the Constitution.
The Catholic Church is the owner of the missions and all their
artifacts.
Once again, Sam Farr is trying to deliver PORK for the wrong
purposes. We need a sewer system so we can build up our hospitals
and fire stations and we need highways to Hollister. What is more
important to our standard of living?

“Yes, about that person who has lived in Hollister for 64 years, I’ve lived here for 66. Let them know that why isn’t the cannery keeping up the streets on Hawkins, Hazel, Prospect, East streets and they’re blocking the roads? Why aren’t they paying their workers like they were in the union before? Now, they’re getting $7.50 an hour. Before when we worked in the cannery we would get $11 an hour, $12 an hour and had a union. Now, they have no union and have to do more work than they did before.

Also, remembering the noises, this person had to hurry to work, ask them why would they really miss them because they’re taking all the money out of their pockets to pay for a lot of this stuff they’re doing now. They’re really excited that they have to pay more money now than they were paying before and the cannery is doing less and less and bringing a smaller salary to these people who are mostly out of the area.

I hope it’s really soothing to their pocketbook when they have to pay more taxes and enjoy it.”

“Who is that woman sleeping in the front window of Boutique de Lingerie? Will she ever wake up? Is she preparing to run for the Hollister City Council?”
