I am writing in response to an article published in Monday’s
paper Citizens Voice and Hotline.
This article was referring to our IT professionals that work for
the Hollister School District. The two people were referred to as
Dumb and Dumber. I hope the person that submitted this article is
not teaching our children. To refer to someone as Dumb and Dumber
is completely uncalled for and sets a poor example to our
youth.
“I am writing in response to an article published in Monday’s paper Citizens Voice and Hotline.

This article was referring to our IT professionals that work for the Hollister School District. The two people were referred to as Dumb and Dumber. I hope the person that submitted this article is not teaching our children. To refer to someone as Dumb and Dumber is completely uncalled for and sets a poor example to our youth.

This person doesn’t have a clue as to what the IT professionals do for our schools. They have worked very hard to straighten out the virus problems that our schools have experienced. They are only two people that are trying to take care of eight school sites.

The start of a new school year keeps our two IT professionals busy enough. The worms and viruses that have recently been spread have only complicated their situation.

So, if you have been slightly inconvenienced, just wait your turn and be patience, things will get straightened out.

If you had to walk in their shoes, I’m sure you would be more understanding and not so critical.”

“Why doesn’t Wells Fargo Bank have an ATM machine downtown? That would be convenient.

Also, why don’t we have a zoo? Animals would be great for the community, and tourism.”

“In his letter, Sgt. William Gonzalez claims the letters to the editor regarding the poor handling of criminal cases by District Attorney John Sarsfield and his two Deputy District Attorney’s (Wei & Wagner), ‘contain numerous other falsehoods, omissions and distortions.’

It seems to me Sgt. Gonzalez is being a bit disingenuous; let’s talk about his omissions and distortions.

Omission 1: The sergeant failed to remind us readers that he supported Mr. Sarsfield during the election campaign last year and in fact wrote numerous letters to the editor in his support. He and Mr. Sarsfield must think we readers have the IQ and attention span of a carrot. There’s nothing wrong with supporting a candidate, just don’t try to pull the wool over our eyes.

Omissions 2, 3 and 4: There was not one mention of the Santos murder, the Orabuena debacle or the disappearing tape and removal of DDA Wagner from that case. Sergeant, you say you’re a cop, I want to see you justify the miserable management of these cases to us citizens. YOU CAN’T DO IT. It would be a lie and you’d be a hypocrite!

Omission 5: Mr. Sarsfield does not go to court ‘Missing in action!’ Why?

Distortions: The three ‘proposals’ the sergeant listed as Sarsfield’s accomplishments for the first nine months in office. The first two have not happened and the third ‘legal eagles’ is a farce. The truth is, these proposals have not saved a dime of our ‘precious taxpayer dollars’ as claimed by Sgt. Gonzalez and John Sarsfield. If this is truly the extent of Mr. Sarsfield’s accomplishments, we need a new DA. I hope the Board of Supes are actually paying attention to this.

Like the person in the Voice demanded recently: ‘No more lying and hiding. Just the truth please.'”
