There was a mention in the Citizens Voice recently about cops
spending too much time at Target rather than patrolling our
streets. They’re probably at Starbucks from 9 to 10 every workday
morning with the DA and a member of his staff.
Question: Can he do that? Answer: As an elected official, he
doesn’t have to work until he wants to.
“There was a mention in the Citizens Voice recently about cops spending too much time at Target rather than patrolling our streets. They’re probably at Starbucks from 9 to 10 every workday morning with the DA and a member of his staff.

Question: Can he do that? Answer: As an elected official, he doesn’t have to work until he wants to.

Question: But how does he get away with allowing a member of his staff to miss two hours of work everyday? Answer: He’s the BOSS and can do anything he wants.

Question: Where does the CAO and the Board of Supervisors stand on this?

Now we know why he’s not in court and we also know the answer to the question, ‘Wheeere’s Johnny?'”

“This is for the dummy that wrote and criticized our councilmen – Mayor Conroy and Mr. Bruscia for doing their jobs. Well, you know something mister: These canneries have been running when they had spinach and tomatoes, but they also had fruit, too, to make fruit cocktails. They were 20 times quieter than the cannery we have now. And they didn’t have the problems the cannery has now with a sewer debt.

As for your comment on some of the low-riders: Call 911 like I do. Every time they turn them up, call the cops. It’s very interesting you want to pick on people through Citizens’ Voice.”

“Let’s talk about Santa Ana Road. Santa Ana Road is considered in three different phrases: Santa Ana Road, Santa Ana Speedway and Santa Ana Drag Strip. Any given day, a patrolmen could give out 200 speeding tickets, but there is no patrolmen. Most of them are on their cell phones hiding out, behind Fortino’s and other places they can’t be discovered. It’s about time the chief takes the bull by the horns. Let’s see what this guy can do.

And what about the noise of motorcycles with their straight pipes? This noise could be controlled. And also, the boom-boxes should be outlawed. The cell phones should be outlawed in this town.

These guys get paid. They have a dangerous job of patrolmen. But by God, the citizens have to do their job for them. This is not right.”

“I for one like this public forum. It’s a good way to get pet peeves off one’s chest. Here’s one of mine: Yes, we all now it’s legal to park anywhere on a city street for up to three days. But what about being polite and courteous to your neighbors? Just because one family has more than three or four cars doesn’t give them the right to park in front of someone else’s home on a regular basis. Park your car in your garage, driveway and in front of your house. Why should I come home and not be able to park in front of my own house because some people have no manners or consideration? Why should I pay for street sweeping every month and never get the front of my property swept because someone else’s car is parked in front of my house every time the street sweeper comes by? A little consideration goes a long way and is appreciated. Be a good neighbor.”
