Gavilan College holds classes at the Briggs Building.

Gavilan College and partners will be hosting a free legal clinic for people interested in the process of applying for citizenship in July.
According to an announcement from OneJustice, which is partnering with Catholic Charities of Monterey County and Gavilan College, to host a clinic where attorneys will be available to help individuals at any state of the naturalization application process.
Additionally, English language assessments will be provided on site, with screenings for exceptions to the English language component of the naturalization exam, according to the statement.
Space is limited, so residents are encouraged to call and make an appointment.
The clinic is set for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 at the Gavilan College site at the Briggs Building in downtown Hollister. To register, call (415) 834-0100, ext. 318.
