I have heard that the city is going to try to shut down the rally in July. I cannot believe the backwards thinking of some of the people in this town. The rally brings in a lot of money to this city. Bikers bring CREDIT CARDS not guns! The city cannot afford to lose this event. We have lost enough already. Charge $10 per bike for parking on San Benito Street, and you will find that the motorcyclists will have no problem with it. I have been to rallies all over the U.S., and I hardly ever hear of gang violence. Things do happen, and that is a part of any large event. I don’t hear people complain about the fights etc. when the rodeo is in town? I wonder why? My wife and I own two businesses in San Jose, and know a lot of professional people that ride bikes. We need to get away from the narrow-mindedness of old-time thinking. This is not the ’60s anymore.

Thank you for hearing me out. But something has to be done.
