The San Benito County Fair’s attendance was down this year from 2010, according to the fair manager.

There were 17,456 who walked through the gates, while there were 18,199 last year, said Kelley Ferreira, fair manager. That amounted to about a 4 percent decrease in attendance.

“Everybody, I think, was looking for a bargain,” he said.
