Pinnacles fire

A fire at the east entrance to Pinnacles National Park on Tuesday reached 10 acres before firefighters put it out.
The fire was reported at 11:04 a.m. at the east entrance to the park in San Benito County. It was an acre in size when Calfire responded, and the fire progressed up the slope in a remote area with limited road access, warm temperatures and sustained winds, according to Calfire.
Crews contained the fire at 12:23 p.m., according to the agency. An unoccupied structure was threatened but received no damage.
There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Calfire.
