Gary Player makes a point to say that he loves fast greens … on a day he happens to be playing a course with fast greens.
If he’s playing on greens that are bent grass, he will say that he is at his best on bent grass greens. If the next week, the greens are slow and Bermuda grass, then this becomes his favorite green to putt for a week.
If you think that you lost your concentration due to a plane flying overhead or somebody making a noise – you never had any concentration to begin with.
