All too often, the golfer with the bad putting statistics looks at the hole rather than the line that the putt will take to the hole.
You need to draw that imaginary line that you think the putt will follow and aim the putter along that line. After that, let gravity take its course to the hole.
If you think the putt is going to break but you continue to look towards the hole at address, you have eliminated most of the break immediately. Most importantly, you will most likely miss the putt.
Find a putting green with a lot of unusual breaks and practice these putts finding just the right line to follow so the ball stops either in the cup or next to the cup. You will have fewer putts and a lower score.
