Three adults and two juveniles have been arrested for attempted
murder following a rock-throwing incident on Saturday that
escalated to shots being fired at the victim near Buena Vista
Road.
Natanahel Aquino, 18, Paulino Gutierrez Roman, 18, Jose Angel
Aguilar, 21, all of Hollister, and two Hispanic male juveniles,
also of Hollister, were arrested at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday on
Flynn Road and charged with attempted murder, assault with a
firearm, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle and gang
enhancement, according to the Hollister Police Department.

All five suspects also admitted to being members of a local Sureno street gang, police said.
According to police, the suspects had thrown rocks at the victim, who then followed the suspects and called 911 on a cell phone. While the victim was on the phone, the suspects then began shooting at him, police said.
Officers responded to the area of Wright Road and Highway 25 and found the suspects’ car on Flynn Road. After a high-risk stop, the suspects were arrested and a .22-caliber handgun was discovered in the silver Chevy Malibu, according to police.
Police returned to the 2400 block of Buena Vista Road, where the shooting had taken place, and discovered .22-caliber shell casings.
