The new president of Gavilan Community College is scheduled to host a coffeehouse discussion in Hollister on Saturday.
Gavilan College President/Superintendent Kathleen Rose is set to host an open discussion with the public at Mars Hill Coffeehouse from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the downtown Hollister coffee shop, located at Sixth and San Benito streets.
Dr. Rose, selected in mid-June to replace the retiring Dr. Steven Kinsella as the local college’s leader, also will visit GVA Cafe in Morgan Hill at 9 a.m. Aug. 13 and First Street Coffee at 9 a.m. the following Saturday.
Saturday’s talk is described as an “informal gathering” to discuss happenings at the school.
