Anyone who loved the first “Legally Blonde” then you’ll enjoy “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde,” currently playing at Premiere Cinemas.

This is a sequel for the fans who helped make the original a huge surprise hit.

The first “Blonde” went over like 24-hour valet parking on Rodeo Drive, earning nearly $100 million for its delightfully daffy saga of Elle Woods , played by Reese Witherspoon, a Beverly Hills girl who conquered Harvard Law School.

Although it does not have the freshness of the original, this is a movie that doesn’t t aim to high and delivers some predictable but still humorous bits that make audiences laugh.

Witherspoon easily adapts back to her blonde character Elle Woods.

We’ve already seen the fish-out-of-water scenario in the first “Legally Blonde.”

This time around, Elle’s swimming with the sharks in Washington, D.C., although she always looks on the bright side, she has no idea how mean things can get when she pops in for her first day of work with Congresswoman Rudd, played wonderfully by Sally Field.

This movie will not be a finalist for the Academy Awards but it is fun, easy comedy that, in its own way gets audiences thinking about our system of government, and the back door kind of maneuvering and manipulations that it takes to get anything done in Washington D.C.

The light, zany comedy goes a long way toward cultivating its “Mr. Smith goes to Washington,” like feeling with its homespun commonsense based humor.
