San Juan Oaks Golf Club named its new head golf professional this month, promoting Professional Golf Association member Scott Adams to the position.

Adams has been with the club since Oct. 2011, working as the first assistant golf professional during that time. Prior to working at San Juan Oaks, Adams served four years as the head golf pro at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin. He as also worked for the San Jose Country Club and Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz.

He brings more than 15 years of golfing experience to the position at San Juan Oaks. He received his Class A PGA status in 2005, according to a San Juan Oaks press release.

In a statement, San Juan Oaks general manager Scott Fuller said the club was excited to keep him on staff.

“We are very pleased to have Scott as our new head golf professional,” Fuller said. “Scott brings a high level of professionalism and customer service to San Juan Oaks and we are excited to have him on staff.”
