National chain Grocery Outlet opened its Hollister store this week at the former Goodwill location on Tres Pinos Road.
The grand opening for the store was set for June 23 at the Hollister location, 550 Tres Pinos Road, next to a recently refurbished Dollar Tree and near the local Roundtable Pizza.
It’s the first Grocery Outlet location in Hollister, with the “soft” opening set for 8 a.m., according to a company press release. The day will include a complimentary lunch with purchase from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., catered by Mansmith’s Barbecue. The ribbon cutting is set for the following day at 9 a.m. with a more official grand opening event Saturday.
The store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. starting Thursday while independently owned and operated by husband-wife team Nate and Dawn Harrell, who also own the Salinas and Watsonville stores.
Grocery Outlet is based in Emeryville and has more than 230 independently operated stores in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington, according to the company.
