Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday arrested a 42-year-old Castroville man in Aromas on suspicion of sexual assault to a juvenile, according to the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office.
The female juvenile reported the incident around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and alleged that Isidro Fuentes assaulted her and left the scene. She told investigators he was a family friend for about eight years and was doing handy work at the residence, according to the sheriff’s office.
With assistance from the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, the local authorities arrested Fuentes at his Castroville home without further incident.
He was booked into the San Benito County Jail. The sheriff’s office, meanwhile, is asking for information from the public and pointed out that Fuentes visits many homes in his line of work.
