The longtime San Juan School accused of inappropriately touching students was in San Benito County court today for a confirmation hearing.

Joseph B. Hudson, 58, was present in court today for a confirmation hearing that solidified the first preliminary examination hearing for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 2 at the courthouse.

The former San Juan School teacher is accused of 18 felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 – three charges for each of the six children – along with six counts of continuous sexual abuse, according to court documents. He pleaded not guilty to all 24 counts.

Hudson is also scheduled to be in court for two other preliminary examination hearings, set for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 9 at the San Benito County Courthouse. All three hearings are set to be presided over by Judge Steven Sanders in room 101.
