Caltrans continued a project Monday to grind and pave State Route 156 between San Juan Bautista and Hollister from Mission Vineyard Road to Union Road.

Roadwork is expected to wrap up on Thursday October 26, weather permitting.

The roadwork is necessary to improve the surface of the roadway while weather conditions are favorable before the next winter storm season.

Motorists can expect one-way reversing traffic control from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. with delays not to exceed 30 minutes. California Highway Patrol will be onsite to ensure a safe environment.

The roadwork is being performed by the Caltrans Hollister Maintenance Crew.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
