The Hollister Viking cheerleaders have completed their historic run, in a season where all three of their teams earned the right to compete at nationals, and two of the teams – the Pee Wees and Junior Midgets – were champions in every single competition that they competed in the Pacific Northwest.

After the national competition, all three placed in the top 10 teams in the nation.

The Junior Midgets had the highest finish, taking home the fifth place trophy. The Junior Pee Wees were seventh, and the Pee Wees 10th.

All of the competitions fielded between 15 and 20 teams in each category, and the Viking teams earned the top score of any team from the Western United States.

The Junior Pee Wees also were awarded the Spirit in Sportsmanship award, which is presented to “the squad that demonstrates and promotes sportsmanship through ethical behavior, respect toward others, responsibility and good character.”
