The Hollister Police Department is continuing its ongoing campaign to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol-involved crashes, the department announced.
Hollister police noted that DUI arrest can have associated costs of up to $10,000. It will also result in time in jail, the loss of your driver’s license and may include years of increased insurance rates.
Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The police department encouraged witnesses of drunken driving to call 911.
