The local police department is exploring what it can do to enhance quality of life in Hollister through surveys, according to an announcement from Hollister police.
According to the announcement released Monday:
The Hollister Police Department is partnering with Concise Research Group (CRG) for a procedural justice study through the use of anonymous surveys.
The Hollister Police Department and CRG have been collaborating on creating this study for the last four months.
Concise Research Group is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our community by simplifying complex conversations between the public and the police. Using the state of the art data collection and analytic techniques, CRG help departments to increase faith in law enforcement by fostering positive work environments in which officers are inspired to maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
Through a special grant, CRG and the Hollister Police Department have undertaken a six-month study.
Hollister police officers will hand citizens involved in an investigation or an enforcement action cards provided by CRG that will direct them to the CRG website for a short anonymous survey.
Through evidence-based best practices, the CRG will assist the department in implementing a procedural justice training program focused specifically on the identified improvement areas to improve the level of Hollister Police Departments service to the community overall.
The officers of the Hollister Police Department want to engage the community by providing them a voice and by evaluating the surveys we believe it will enhance our relationship with the community.
