it defeated KIPP San Jose Collegiate by a 38-23 margin in San Juan
Bautista.

The Anzar High girls basketball team snapped a seven-game losing streak and picked up its first win of the season on Saturday when it defeated KIPP San Jose Collegiate by a 38-23 margin in San Juan Bautista.

Anzar’s Lauren Staley was the game’s leading scorer, although no box score was provided at press time.

The Hawks are now 1-7 on the early season, and will square off at home against Greenfield on Monday night. Tip-off is 6 p.m.
