Retiring Hollister City Clerk Geri Johnson will serve as grand marshal for the Saddle Horse Parade next month.
The Saddle Horse Parade has lacked a grand marshal for years but will have one this year, said Julie Vieira, president/CEO of the chamber of commerce that runs the parade.
Vieira made the announcement at Monday’s council meeting about the parade and fiesta set for 6 p.m. June 25 in downtown Hollister.
