Third-graders reach in to pet a rabbit after learning how to care for the animal at the Ag in the Classroom Farm Day at Bolado Park on March 15.

The annual Ag in the Classroom event brings third-grade students
from around the county to Bolado Park for a chance to learn about
the main industry in the county.
Students have a chance to see animals such as rabbits, ducklings
and other livestock. They also have a chance to see what role
plants and other crops play in the community.
Many residents who work in the agricultural industry volunteer
their time to give kids a hands-on look at the work they do, as do
4-H and FFA students.
