Regarding the story “Garcia Still Has That Magic” (Jan. 16):
If the question is, “Has Jeff Garcia provided exciting entertainment and given fans from San Jose, Canada and the NFL their money’s worth,” then the answer is yes. Even with his three all-star awards he has been underrated as the exciting and exceptional quarterback he is.
The so-called experts consistently have denied him his due because he doesn’t fit some “ideal” physical model, but he is as smart as any quarterback playing today.
Surrounded by supportive and intelligent coaches and a good organization, he makes things happen with an exceptional attitude and intelligence. Congratulations, Jeff.
