Local artist Shannon Grissom has been nominated for five WAVE awards for her community access programming.

Grissom has been nominated for WAVE awards the past five years and twice she has received the top honor. Productions compete against other shows in California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico.

On top of her TV show’s three nominations, Grissom also received nods for her nonprofit work and her first music video.

“Give Your Walls Some Soul” received three nominations, two for Best Instructional program and one for Best Show Promo. Her other two nominations are for Best PSA relating to her work for the Culinary and Hospitality Foundation of San Benito County and Best Experimental for the music video “I Was Made to Cover You.”

Awards will be announced in Denver on Oct. 24.
