San Juan Bautista – Time is running out for locals to buy tickets to a dinner celebrating the 50th anniversary of the filming of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo.”

There are only 100 tickets left for the Oct. 6 event, said Fundraising Chair Donna Guerra Howe. An anonymous benefactor decided to sweeten the deal by donating an extra $75 to the Mission for every ticket sold. That means the tickets, which normally cost $125, will be sold for $75. The first 50 buyers will also be entered in a raffle for Hitchcock memorabilia.

Howe has assembled a long guest list for the event, including Hitchcock’s daughter Pat Hitchcock O’Connell; James Katz, who performed the recent restoration of the film; and Don Auiler, author of “Vertigo: The Making of a Hitchcock Classic.”

To purchase a ticket, call the Mission at 831-623-2127.
