Hollister Fire and CDF respond to call in Comstock Estates

San Benito resident Woody Williams captured photos of a house fire at Comstock Estates Aug. 28. The home is reportedly owned by a Mr. and Mrs. Ward of Stony Brook Drive. Williams reported that the fire started in the garage, then burned through the attic and roof area of most of the home. While the homeowners were in the house, they were able to evacuate the house without injury. The Hollister Fire Department and the California Department of Forestry responded to the fire. One firefighter was sent to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Jim Dellamonica, the fire marshal.
