The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has revoked the alcohol license at El Michoacano, 1296 San Juan Road, according to a press release from the state agency.

The Hollister restaurant had its license revoked because owner Sara Villa was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon. She was convicted after an investigation by the Hollister Police Department substantiated that Villa assaulted an employee at the restaurant in front of patrons, according to ABC.

The incident led to the revocation, and the owner can no longer sell alcohol there, according to the statement.
