HOLLISTER

Two residents alleged to police that the owner of an in-home massage and chiropractic business sexually assaulted them during recent visits.

Police received a report Wednesday from a female who said she had learned of the in-home business, visited the house and was sexually assaulted there during a massage, according to a press release from the Hollister Police Department. A second citizen later contacted police as well and alleged she also was sexually assaulted by the same man.

Police arrested Armando Medina of Hollister on suspicion of two felony charges of unwillful sexual penetration, which is under section 289(d) of the California Penal Code, according to the press release.

That section of the penal code reads as follows:

“Any person who commits an act of sexual penetration, and the victim is at the time unconscious of the nature of the act and this is known to the person committing the act or causing the act to be committed, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for three, six, or eight years.”

Police in the statement note how the department asks that anyone who has had similar types of experiences report them to the HPD.
