Measure G is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Its proponents would
have you believe that the Vote No on G Committee is looking high
and low for all these big out-of-town developers supposedly ready
to finance the campaign against Measure G.
In reality, the Vote No on G committee has received over 95
percent of our donations from residents of San Benito County.
Measure G is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Its proponents would have you believe that the Vote No on G Committee is looking high and low for all these big out-of-town developers supposedly ready to finance the campaign against Measure G.
In reality, the Vote No on G committee has received over 95 percent of our donations from residents of San Benito County. Literally hundreds of people (ranchers, farmers, teachers, realtors, business owners, farm workers, commuters, etc.) have contributed to our exhaustive efforts because they have seen the travesty of this initiative and the legal manipulation of our court system by Rebecca McGovern and Earthjustice. Not one dime has come from “Big Out-of-Town Developers.”
Meanwhile, as of the last available reporting period (Sept. 30, 2003), the Yes on G committee reported that over 92 percent of their funding came from OUTSIDE THE COUNTY. Only seven residents of San Benito County contributed the remaining funds. ONLY SEVEN PEOPLE and yet their scheme would re-zone 98 percent of the land in San Benito County while creating a potentially permanent divide within our community.
Don’t be fooled. Remember, the wolf ate grandma. Measure G is NOT the answer.
