Thomas Loguidice

A judge last month sentenced a convicted molester to 40 years in prison, according to records.

Thomas Loguidice, 55, was sentenced by Judge Steven Sanders for lewd acts on a child under age 14. In April, Loguidice, of Hollister, pleaded no contest to four counts of the molestation charge, along with special allegations he committed the same crime to more than one victim or against the same victim a multiple occasions, according to the district attorney’s office.

The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office arrested Loguidice in May 2011 and accused him of lewd acts with a child under age 14. Deputies arrested Loguidice after receiving information that he “performed lewd acts” with a girl under age 14, according to the sheriff’s office.

Loguidice is accused of performing the acts at the girl’s home in Hollister within the month before his arrest. He is suspected of spending time alone with the victim by earning the trust of the family, according to investigators.

Deputy District Attorney Patrick Palacios prosecuted the case and offered thanks to sheriff’s detectives “for their actions that led to the apprehension and conviction of Loguidice,” according to a statement.
