Criminal Sentencings
San Benito County Judge Steven Sanders
Francisco Salazar, 21, of Hollister, was sentenced to 30 days in county jail, three years of probation and fined $1,998 for misdemeanor drunken driving and driving without a valid license.
Steven Hinson, 18, of Morgan Hill, was sentenced to three years of Proposition 36 probation and was fined $1,120 for being under the influence of drugs and being a minor in possession of alcohol, both misdemeanors.
Hinson was also sentenced to three years of Proposition 36 probation and one year of a suspended license, and was fined $1,550 for felon drug possession and being a minor in possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Joseph Lawrence Grace, 39, of San Jose, was sentenced to 20 days in county jail and two years of probation, and was fined $100 for misdemeanor trespassing and disobeying a court order.
Civil Lawsuits
Jason Franklin and Neizy Bungay filed a civil suit against Luis Enrique Lopez Barajas and Sonia Mercedes Garcia alleging motor vehicle property damage, personal injury and general negligence, seeking more than $25,000.
Jose Vasquez filed a civil suit against Alejandro Avalos Madrigal and Manuel Avalos alleging motor vehicle property damage, personal injury and loss of earnings, seeking more than $25,000.
