Southside board makes call on open seat
Southside School District trustees voted unanimously in favor of appointing a candidate to a vacant spot on their board and seeking a special election if no one came forward, according to a district administrator.
Go wild at WERC!
W.E.R.C., the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center in Morgan Hill, is accepting applications for volunteers who are available to work during the morning on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. Duties include cleaning, feeding, and caring for injured, orphaned and sick native wildlife. All volunteers are required to be at least 16 years old. Volunteers working at our site work a 3-hour shift, at least once a week and are asked to make a four-month commitment. The orientation session will be held on June 9th, 2012.

early days in San juan: San Juan Bautista State Historic Park's annual "Early Days in San Juan" will be held from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday June 19 at the park. The one day event will showcase 19th century customs and culture with living history demonstrations and activities put on by State Park volunteers and Docents.
