San Benito High School Superintendent John Perales was selected as the winner of the regional award for the State Star Administrator, according to an email from the superintendent.

Hospital auxiliary hands out scholarships
Every year, the Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Auxiliary works hard to raise money to provide scholarships for students in health related fields. Over a span of 58 years the Auxiliary has awarded $293,920 in scholarships. This year, they awarded $30,000 to 22 recipients who are students studying to in various medical fields.
