The photograph by Nick Lovejoy was a beautiful shot of the S-2 dropping on the fire. The CDF airplanes do a great service to the county, saving property and lives. I recently read an article in Parade Magazine quoting a US Forest Service employee that the fixed-wing CDF aircraft are not effective in fighting fire – I totally disagree.
