The city has removed the two-hour parking signs for the holidays.

As the shopping season is here, the police department announced that there will be no timed parking enforcement during the holiday season.
According to the Hollister Police Department announcement:
The Hollister Police Department working with the Hollister Downtown Association will offer free parking on all streets and parking lots for the holiday shopping season.
The free parking program has been in effect since Nov. 15 and will terminate on Jan. 15. Business merchants and downtown employees are encouraged to park in the Briggs Building parking structure (which is free parking year around) or the many City of Hollister off-street parking lots that are interspersed downtown to allow for convenience of customer parking on the street.
The Hollister Police Department reminds residents that the Lights on Celebration on Nov. 30 will cause an increase in foot traffic in the downtown central district. Caution is advised for motorist during the celebration. The Lights on Parade commences at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 30.
