Celia Gamboa Marquez died Sept. 24, 2002 at her Hollister home. She was 54.
Mrs. Marquez was a native of Los Angeles, and a member of Sacred Heart Church and Teamsters Local 890. She and her husband, Antonio, were married in 1976 in Mexico, where she lived until moving to San Benito County 26 years ago. She was employed for several years with San Benito Foods.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio Marquez of Hollister, her children, Maria Marquez, Yolanda Marquez and Miguel Marquez all of Holllister, her sisters and brothers, Maria del Refugio Gamboa of Mexico, Dolores Gamboa of Los Angeles, Jose Maria Gamboa of Chicago, Nicolas Gamboa of Los Angeles and Gabriel Gamboa of Los Angeles. She is also survived by her two granddaughters.
The funeral was at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Interment and graveside services were at Calvary Cemetery.
Michel Edward Bellanga
Michel Edward Bellanga, a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII, died suddenly at his Hollister home Sept. 25. He was 80.
Mr. Bellanga was born in New Orleans and moved to San Benito County in 1987 from Gilroy, where he had lived for 20 years. He is a former member of the Eagles Lodge in San Jose.
Mr. Bellanga had been operations manager for B.F.I. (formerly Garden City Sanitation) for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bellanga of Hollister, children David Hellanga of Kansas City, Mo., Debra Angelino of Gilroy, Jane Contreras of San Jose, and five grandchildren.
Private family services with military rites will be at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Arrangements and cremation are through Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory. Contributions are preferred to Hospice.
