Hollister resident Stephanie Crabb’s signature color is pink.
“Oh my God, pink is everything,” she said. “I just love it.”
In fact, 90 percent of her wardrobe is in shades of blush, baby pink and fuchsia. And she loves the color so much, she even bought a pink motorcycle.
“My fiance is absolutely appalled to ride with me,” she said jokingly. “He wanted me to paint it black, but I was like ‘no way.'”
Crabb, who is originally from Carmel, has been riding motorcycles and selling real estate in San Benito County for four years. Before moving to Hollister, Crabb worked in the Carmel area, but said it’s much more rewarding to sell homes in San Benito County.
“There is just so much more excitement that comes with selling a house to a first-time buyer, and you couldn’t do that there,” she said.
Her love of riding bikes, her fiance and the warm weather brought Crabb to the county.
“My fiance lived in San Jose, and I lived in Carmel so this was a great place to meet in the middle,” she said.
Keeping with her pink theme, once she had her pink soft tail custom bike, she then had to buy matching pink accessories.
“Oh, I had to get everything pink,” she said. “Everything down to the nail polish and lipstick had to be pink. Even though I ride a motorcycle I never wanted anyone to ever question my femininity.”
Instead, she has chosen to embrace her dainty qualities, even if it embarrasses her fiance Bruce.
“I bought a pink boa at the rally, and he was like ‘oh no you’re not wearing that,'” she said. “Well I did and what do you know, I ended up in the newspaper with it on.”
With 50,000 miles under her belt, Crabb said riding has become her biggest hobby, and another thing that attracted her to Hollister is the biker community.
“I’ve met a lot of my clients and lifetime friends from riding,” she said.
Although she is full grown and has children of her own, Crabb said her mother is still “dead set against” the idea of her riding motorcycles. Since Bruce was the one who got her into the sport, Crabb told him if she ever gets hurt riding, to “leave the country.”
