The restaurant, bakery and tasting room is located off Pacheco Pass Highway, eight miles from downtown Hollister. The Grove is owned by Frank Leal, who also owns and operates Leal Vineyards.

The Grove Restaurant on Pacheco Pass recently held a fundraiser for Relay for Life called “Pizza For A Purpose.”
“We’re very community-oriented,” said Nashelle Tombe, the assistant event coordinator for The Grove, in an interview Tuesday.
For the month of October, the Grove dedicated 10 percent of its pizza sales back to Relay for Life to help combat cancer. The event raised more than $1,370 dollars and included more than 1,150 pizzas sold.
“We had a really positive response,” Tombe said.
She said people came in just to participate in the fundraiser, and regular customers who learned about the drive also contributed.
“We just liked that the money stays within the community,” she said.
This was the inaugural year for the “Pizza for a Purpose” event. Tombe said she hopes to see it again next year.
“We really want to keep it a continuous thing,” she said.
She offered one last message for all the people who bought pizzas for the effort.
“We want to thank all the people who participated in our campaign,” she said.
