Hollister airport

A plot crash landed an airplane after the aircraft’s power apparently failed on takeoff, according to the Hollister Police Department. 
The accident was reported around 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the Hollister Municipal Airport. The pilot tried to land on a fire road on a vacant parcel nearby. He sustained unknown injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment, according to the HPD.
Federal officials are conducting an investigation.
