INJURY TO A CHILD:
Misty Marie Traversari, 18, of 950 Plum Ct. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for pushing, choking and punching a 9-year-old male, a felony, in the 900 block of Plum Court at 3:40pm on Monday, police said. The incident was spurred by an argument, but police said the child had no visible injuries.
ROBBERY:
Two suspects robbed a Round Table Pizza delivery boy of one pizza and an undetermined amount of cash in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Nash Road at 9:10pm on Saturday, police said. One of the men either had a gun or simulated having one inside his jacket, police said. One of the suspects is described as being a white male, approximately 18 years old, 6 feet tall with a thin build and wearing glasses, police said. The other man was described as being heavy-set and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, police said. The residents of the apartment where the pizza was supposed to be delivered said they had not ordered a pizza, police said.
BURGLARY:
Unknown suspects smashed the window of a 2000 GMC Sonoma pick-up truck in the 100 block of Locust Street and stole $100 worth of tools, a $100-pair of sunglasses and CDs sometime between Saturday and Sunday, police said.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS:
Jeremiah Cuilty, 22, of 675 1/2 Sixth St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, misdemeanors, at the corner of Third and San Benito streets at 9:27pm on Saturday, police said.
TRESPASSING:
Nicolas Alejandro Rivera, 21, of Salinas, was arrested by Hollister police for trespassing and being drunk in public, misdemeanors, after he entered a home in the 100 block of Hawkins Street at 3:56am on Sunday, police said. The resident’s dogs awakened her and she found Rivera stumbling in her living room, but police said Rivera had no idea why he was there and the residents did not know who he was.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:
Dean Forrest Hutchinson, 32, of San Jose, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence of marijuana, a misdemeanor, after he crashed into another car in the 800 block of San Benito Street around noon on Sunday, police said. No one was injured, police said.
Jorge Ivan Ruiz, 18, of 593 A St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence of marijuana, a misdemeanor, after he was stopped in the 500 block of McCray Street for speeding at 8pm on Sunday, police said.
THEFT:
Gabriel Paul Deherrera, Jr., 18, of 550 Tiffany Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police in the 700 block of San Benito Street at 9:08pm on Sunday for stealing a $130 digital scale from Metropolis, a felony, police said.
DRUNK IN PUBLIC:
Jose Antonio Solorio, 25, of 1031 Central Ave. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, in the 1000 block of Central Avenue at 10:18 on Sunday, police said.
Rodolfo Hernandez, 52, of 660 San Felipe Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, after he was found passed out on the corner of McCray and McCarthy streets at 12:54pm on Saturday, police said.
EXHIBIT A DEADLY WEAPON:
Robert Montoya Pendregon, 46, of 818 Central Ave. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for brandishing a small knife at two off-duty firefighters, a misdemeanor, in the 700 block of San Benito Street at 1:15pm on Friday, police said.
CAR THEFT:
Unknown suspects stole at red 1993 Ford Explorer from the 100 block of Hillcrest Road around 7:10pm on Friday, police said. The owner of the vehicle started the car, went inside the residence to wait for it to warm up and when they came out discovered it had been stolen, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
