VIOLENCE: Mark Steven Collison, 45, of 1580 Albright Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for domestic violence, a felony, when he put a pillow over his live-in girlfriend’s face when he became tired of listening to her Tuesday night, police said. He picked up the pillow to make sure she was still breathing and then put it back on her face. Police do not believe he was trying to kill her but just being ” obnoxious.” Collison was also arrested for violation of probation for prior domestic violence arrests, a felony.

CAR THEFT: Hollister resident Jose Corona had his silver Chevy 4×4 truck stolen from in front of his house at 10 Third Street a few minutes after 6 a.m. on Tuesday. He left the car running to warm it up, went into the house, and when he came back it was gone, Hollister police said.

DOMESTIC

VIOLENCE: Alvaro Joel Garcia, 32, of 850 Hillcrest Rd. Apt 62, was arrested by Hollister police for domestic violence and burglary, both felonies, at 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday when he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment through a window and aggressively pushed her to the floor.

CAR THEFT: Hollister resident Patricia Paetz had her 1985 red Honda Civic stolen from in front of her home at 1380 Marne Dr. Hollister police responded to the call at 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday, but the car could have been stolen any time before 7 p.m. that day.
