DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Guillermo Palafox, 49, of 9 Line St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for domestic violence, a felony, after he pushed his wife into a wall at 10:31 p.m. on Saturday. She suffered pain to her back but refused medical attention.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Trinidad L. Juarez, 22, of 71 Santa Ana Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence and driving without a license, both misdemeanors, in the 300 block of East Street at 11:30 p.m. on Friday.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: James Michael McShane, 28, of 1531 Sunnyslope Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for disorderly conduct, battery and entering a residence without permission, all misdemeanors, at 10:31 p.m. on Friday. McShane, who was getting married on Saturday, was returning home from his bachelor party and was so intoxicated he went to the wrong house, pushed the elderly woman who lived there out of the way when she opened the door, went into her bedroom, undressed and got into bed, where he was finally arrested, police said. He was booked into the San Benito County Jail and had to be bailed out.
DANGEROUS FIREWORKS: Three male juveniles, ages 13, 15 and 16, were cited by Hollister police for setting off illegal firecrackers at 1220 Monterey St. in Hollister at 9:50 p.m. on Friday.
BATTERY TO A CHILD: Sandra Rios, 38 of 797 Cornal Dr. in Santa Clara, was arrested for inflicting injury to a child, a felony, and fighting in public, a misdemeanor, after a verbal altercation at the Hollister Family Bowl with a 17-year-old female turned physical around midnight on Friday, police said. Linda Medina, 22, also of 797 Cornal Dr. in Santa Clara, was arrested for fighting in public, a misdemeanor, after she helped hold the juvenile down on the ground while Rios hit her, police said.
BATTERY TO A CHILD: Charles Dean Kaufmann, 38, a transient, was arrested by Hollister police for inflicting injury on a child and threatening with an intent to terrorize, both felonies, when he spit on, verbally harassed and head-butted a 17-year-old female relative on Thursday at 12:10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Manzanita Drive in Hollister.
