At 2 a.m. Monday, police were called to the intersection of
Palmtag Drive and Monterey Street for a vehicle in the middle of
the road. Officers talked with the owners of the vehicle who said
it was parked in their driveway at 10 p.m. Sunday.
ARRESTS
Second-degree burglary, Tres Pinos Road
At 8 p.m. Tuesday, a woman was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart in the 400 block of Tres Pinos Road. Store security saw the woman take clothes without paying for them and called the police. Once officer arrived, they saw objective signs that the 40-year-old Hollister was under the influence of a controlled substance. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS
Attempted vehicle theft, Palmtag Drive and Monterey Street
At 2 a.m. Monday, police were called to the intersection of Palmtag Drive and Monterey Street for a vehicle in the middle of the road. Officers talked with the owners of the vehicle who said it was parked in their driveway at 10 p.m. Sunday. The unknown suspect or suspects gained access through on the vehicle’s windows and tried to steal it by hot-wiring the vehicle. Although the suspect or suspects did get the car into the middle of the street, they were unable to steal the vehicle. Officers were able to process the car for fingerprints and other evidence. The case is still under investigation.
Assault with a deadly weapon, Park Hill
At 2 p.m. Monday, two male subjects were fighting on Park Hill. One of the males picked up a beer bottle and tried to throw it at the other male. He missed the male and hit a female who was in the area. She was taken to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital and the suspect fled the scene. Police have yet to contact the suspect.
First-degree burglary, Beresini Lane
Between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, an unknown suspect or suspects broke into a residence in the 100 block of Beresini Lane. The victim left at 1 p.m. and came back a half an hour later to find her house had been gone through. The suspect or suspects took electronics and video games.
