Illegal weapon possession:

Sean Michael Daudet, 21, of Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of two felony illegal weapon possessions; tampering with a firearm’s serial number, a felony; possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, a felony; possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; possession of a concealed weapon in a vehicle, a felony; and driving while unlicensed, a misdemeanor; after pulling him over on Fairview Road near McCloskey Road at 10:35am Saturday, deputies said. A deputy saw Daudet driving a vehicle with a cracked windshield on Santa Ana Valley road, deputies said. While in pursuit, the deputy witnessed Daudet throw a black backpack out of the vehicle, deputies said. After an identity check revealed Daudet was unlicensed, the deputy searched him, found a methamphetamine pipe, and placed him into custody, deputies said. When the deputy retrieved the backpack, he found a 3-inch, five-shot Harrington revolver and a bottle of Soma painkillers without a prescription, deputies said. The deputy also found a walking stick with a retractable blade, deputies said.

Assault with a deadly weapon:

Gregory Paul Pryer, 38, of the 1300 block of Carmela Court in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, after responded to a confrontation in the 1300 block of Carmela Court at 12:20pm Sunday, police said. Pryer began to argue with another man and hit him in the head with a wrench, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
