ARRESTS

First degree robbery, Fourth Street

At 11:13 a.m. on Monday, two juvenile Hollister males attempted to steal beer from the Hollister Drive In Market on the 800 block of Fourth Street. One of the suspects walked into the store to grab the beer while the other waited outside the door. When an employee tried to stop them, the two suspects started hitting the employee. Both males were arrested and booked into juvenile hall. They were charged with robbery, battery on a police officer, making threats to an officer and resisting arrest.

Public intoxication, Fourth Street

At 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a 26-year-old Hollister man was causing a disturbance near his sister’s house on the 300 block of Fourth Street. When police arrived, he was showing signs of intoxication and refused to go home with his brother and sister. He was arrested for public intoxication and booked into the county jail.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Attempted burglary, Clearview Court

At 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report from a homeowner on the 900 block of Clearview Court regarding an attempted burglary. The victim reported that she awoke to her dogs barking. She went outside and noticed a screwdriver that didn’t belong to her sitting in front of the side garage door. No property was taken and no suspect information was available.

Unreasonable noise, Rustic Court

At 1:05 a.m. on Monday, police received a complaint from a neighbor of a Hollister man who was playing loud music. The reporting party said he wanted to seek prosecution of his neighbor who lives on the 100 block of Rustic Court. The suspect, a 45-year-old Hollister man, was cited for unreasonable noise.

Offensive words, Fifth Street

At 10 a.m. on Monday, a victim reported two persons approached him at the San Benito Courthouse on the 400 block of Fifth Street. One of the subjects said he was going to kill the victim. No arrests were made and the case was referred to the District Attorney’s Office.

Obtain credit, El Toro Drive

At 10:26 a.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported from the 1000 block of El Toro Drive that someone had used his identity to open an AT&T account. No suspect information was available.

Offensive words, San Benito Street

Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, a subject walked into The Elegant Touch on the 600 block of San Benito Street and threw coffee onto the ground in an angry manner. No arrests were made and no suspect information was available.
