Impersonation of a peace officer, Buena Vista Street

At 7:30 on Oct. 5 Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1600 block of Buena Vista Road to address a disturbance of the peace call. At the scene they spoke with a citizen who reported that he had approached a residence to see why a female was yelling inside. A suspect in the home falsely identified himself as a police officer and threatened to arrest the citizen. The deputies took the suspect into custody and he was booked into the county jail.

Outstanding Warrant, Gonzales Drive

Hollister resident Jose Manzo, 53, was taken into custody on Monday at 1:30 p.m. along the 100 block of Gonzales Drive by Hollister Police Department due to an outstanding county warrant for sexual battery.

Battery causing serious injury, San Benito Street

An 18-year-old suspect was taken into custody by Hollister police at the Hollister Skate Park on Monday at 5:20 p.m. after he was alleged to punch a victim and then kick the victim after he fell. The victim was flown to a San Jose hospital, and the suspect was arrested, charged with assault with a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious injury.

CRIMINAL REPORTS

Burglary, West Street

Police report that a suspect entered Fremont School, 355 West St., at 6:49 p.m. Monday with the intent to steal copper wire. Police report that the suspect was in possession of bolt cutters and a meth pipe. The suspect was arrested, charged with possession of paraphernalia, possession of burglar tools and burglary and booked into the county jail.
