Grand Theft

A woman’s purse was stolen at 12:30am Wednesday in the 700 block of Westside Boulevard, the Hollister Police Department said. A wallet, watch, necklace, ring, a Social Security card and $400 in cash were in the purse, police said. There are no suspects.

Commercial Burglary

Donuts and Deli on San Felipe Road was broken into between 7:30pm Wednesday and 1am Thursday, police said. A television and $2,000 in cash was taken, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

Two vehicles parked in the 1200 block of Marne Drive were keyed between 5pm Tuesday and 5am Wednesday, police said. There are no suspects.

A vehicle parked at San Benito and South streets was keyed between 1pm Wednesday and 7:20am Thursday , police said. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Driving Under the Influence

Tomas Chacon, 43, of the 600 block of Walnut Lane in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after hitting four parked cars at 7:35pm Wednesday on Beverly Drive in Hollister, police said.

Resisting Arrest

Raynaldo Israel Gonzales, 42, of the 800 block of Hillcrest Road in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of threats and battering a peace officer, both felonies, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, after being called to a home where a man was brandishing a knife at 2:48pm Thursday in the 800 block of Hillcrest Road in Hollister, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
