Domestic Violence:
n Richard Luke Garcia, 29, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of inflicting an injury upon a woman during a domestic dispute, a felony, and false imprisonment, a felony, after police responded to a 9-1-1 call at 10:17pm Friday, police said. An argument escalated into a shoving match and Garcia took the phone from the victim when she attempted to dial 9-1-1, police said.
n Maxmilliano Cortez, 44, of Hollister, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of inflicting an injury upon a woman during a domestic dispute, a felony, and child abuse, a felony, after deputies responded to a domestic dispute call, deputies said. Cortez allegedly hit a woman in front of children, deputies said.
n Eliseo Games, 24, of Hollister, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting an injury on a woman during a domestic dispute, a felony, after police responded to a domestic dispute call on Sunday at 1:18pm, police said. Games allegedly punched and slapped the victim in the face, police said.
Under the Influence:
n Eric Lopez, 19, and Manuel Lopez, 30, both of Gilroy, were arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, a felony, being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia in front of the Fairview Country Market on Fairview Road at 11:30pm Friday, deputies said. The suspects pulled into the parking lot of the market and parked in front of a deputy’s patrol car, deputies said. The suspects got out of the car to get beer from the market, which was closed, deputies said. One suspect pulled on the door of the market after police told the suspects that the market was closed, deputies said. Upon further inspection, the suspects appeared to be under the influence and when deputies looked inside the vehicle, they saw a bag containing 0.25 grams of methamphetamine on the vehicle’s middle console, deputies said.
Fighting in Public:
n Jaime Rico, 21, and Samuel Canela, 21, both of Hollister, were arrested by police for fighting in public, a misdemeanor, after police responded to a call from Pancho’s on Fourth Street at 9:18pm Saturday, police said. Rico and Canela began fighting inside the restaurant, causing damage to the establishment, police said.
Drunk in Public:
n Jose Zendejas, 46, of the 900 block of Meridian Street in Hollister, was arrested by police for being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, after police found the suspect face down on the sidewalk across the street from Pancho’s on Fourth Street at 6:58pm Saturday, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
